Latitude, not gimmick
Finnish Lapland sits at the latitude where the aurora is statistical fact, not lottery. Between September and March, on any clear night above the Arctic Circle, the sky performs.
Curated Lapland · Private Arctic Experiences
Private wilderness dining for twelve. A frozen lake reached only by snowmobile. An aurora that arrives on schedule because the chef has been watching the sky for a week. Nordic Event Management produces arctic experiences in Finnish Lapland for corporate retreats, brand intensives, and private occasions.
The proposition
The Lapland most visitors meet is a queue — for a snowmobile, a reindeer, a window seat at a glass igloo. We do not work in that Lapland. We work two hours past the last signpost, with a cabin opened only for our guests, a Sámi guide who knows where the herd actually grazes this week, and a chef who has driven up from Helsinki with the menu in a cool box.
Curated Lapland experiences are how international companies bring twelve executives somewhere their phones lose signal but their decisions sharpen. They are how a private client celebrates a milestone in a place no Instagram tag has ruined yet. They are produced the same way our Helsinki signature events are produced — by deciding first how the room should feel, then engineering the wilderness, the weather contingencies, and the logistics until that feeling becomes inevitable.
Why Finnish Lapland
Finnish Lapland sits at the latitude where the aurora is statistical fact, not lottery. Between September and March, on any clear night above the Arctic Circle, the sky performs.
Direct flights from Helsinki, London, Frankfurt, Zurich land in Rovaniemi, Ivalo or Kittilä. Two hours later you are in a forest where the loudest sound is a kettle.
Finns count eight seasons in Lapland — frosty winter, crusty snow, departure of ice, midnight sun. Each one is a different production.
Michelin-trained kitchens in the wilderness, off-grid suites with floor heating, helicopter access to lakes no road reaches. Everything here is engineered on site, not imported.
What we produce
A long table set on a frozen lake, in a forest clearing, or inside a snow chapel. Tasting menu by an Helsinki-trained chef, paired wines, hand-warmers under every chair, an aurora alert in the headset of the maître d'.
Two to four days for leadership teams of eight to forty. Strategy sessions in a glass-walled cabin by day, husky safaris and ice sauna by dusk, private dinner and a Sámi storyteller by night. Production-managed end to end.
From your hotel in Levi or Saariselkä to a fjell summit, a private cabin lunch, a fall-line ski descent, and back before sunset. Pilots, guides, catering, insurance — one phone number.
A meteorologist on retainer, three cabins on standby across two hundred kilometres, a convoy that decides at 21:00 which one the sky is performing above. The aurora becomes a reservation, not a hope.
Brand reveals, anniversary dinners, proposals, family milestones — all the rituals of a city event, set instead under a sky that goes black at 14:00 and green at 22:00.
Reindeer herding with a working family, joik singing around a fire in a lavvu, an honest conversation about indigenous tourism done well. No costumes, no folklore theatre.
Signature experience

Snowmobile transfer at dusk to a private lakeside cabin sixty kilometres from the nearest road. Sauna and ice swim on arrival. Six-course tasting menu by chef Joonas Niemelä, paired with Nordic small-producer wines. Aurora forecast tracked in real time; if the sky performs, dinner pauses. Return by 02:00 with hand-warmed blankets in the sled. From €1,850 per guest. Available October–April. Twelve guests, no exceptions.
How we work
Every Lapland production begins eight to sixteen weeks before guests arrive. A producer flies up, walks the location in the actual season the event will run, meets the chef and the guide, and writes a forty-page runbook covering everything from arrival temperatures to evacuation routes. By the time you land, the contingency for every variant of Lapland weather has already been built and budgeted.
We work with a curated network of fifteen-or-so partners across Finnish Lapland — chefs, pilots, Sámi guides, cabin owners, helicopter operators — selected over a decade of producing arctic events. We do not subcontract production. The same Nordic Event Management producer who signed the brief is on the ground, in a parka, when the first guest arrives.
Investment for a curated Lapland production typically starts at €25,000 for a private dinner experience and €70,000 for a multi-day corporate retreat of twenty guests, inclusive of accommodation, transfers, all activities, and on-site production team. We provide transparent line-item proposals after a brief conversation about scope and ambition.
